B-2 Anniversary
The B-2A ‘stealth bomber’ celebrates its first flight 30-year anniversary on July 17. The iconic flying wing design continues to serve as the frontline aircraft in strategic roles across the globe. The aircraft is supported by hundreds of personnel who work in direct support of software sustainment at Tinker Air Force Base. Shown here is B-2A, serial #88-0331, ‘Spirit of South Carolina’ of the 509th Bomb Wing, Air Force Global Strike Command, parked on a ramp at Tinker AFB during a recent visit.
