    The Air Force Materiel Command will offer diagnostic fitness assessments to Airmen starting Jan. 20. As the Air Force continues to review the overall current fitness assessment guidance for Airmen, the AFMC has elected to implement diagnostic testing as a potential part of the policy change.
  • AFMC-wide virtual hiring fair attracts new talent

    The Air Force Materiel Command hosted its first Virtual Hiring Event April 10 to fill more than 400 immediate vacancies across the enterprise footprint. Approximately 30 job offers were made during the event with hiring managers also identifying 60 additional members for subsequent interviews. An additional benefit resulting from the event is the large number of resumes now on hand that are being screened and placed in a repository for future opportunities.

It is to this historical tradition that we can trace the evolution of military emblems and patches. As the Air Force begins transitioning from the current Airman Battle Uniform to the Operational Camouflage Pattern, there is a renewed focus on emblems and patches across Air Force units, as Airmen will once again be able to wear unit patches on their sleeves, which had been phased out when the ABU was deployed in 2007.
