The Tinker Public Affairs Office offers a number of services to support Team Tinker's official photography needs. Check out the following sections to learn more.

Head and shoulder and full-length studio photos are for official purposes and only available for the following:

• Wing-level and above Commanders, Vice Commanders, and Command Chiefs
• Squadron-level and above Commanders, Superintendents and First Sergeants
• Quarterly and annual awards winners at the group-level and above
• Other portrait requirements as specified by AFI, such as special duty assignment applications (per AFMAN 36-2032) or other validated requirements by wing-level and above commanders.

The DoW has eliminated photos from all promotion packages for all branches. These photos will no longer be taken at the Tinker AFB Studio. 

Photo Types Available:

Head and Shoulders Official Photo

Photos are shot to a 4x5 ratio, suitable for an 8"x10" frame, and include the American flag in the background. Please note, we do NOT have printing capabilities. Photos can be printed on a color laser printer available in most offices or can be printed off-site if desired.

Full Length Photo

Photos are shot to a 5x7 ratio (5"x7") on a white background and are sized to be less than 500KB in compliance with most package requirements. These photos are less common and are only done on Fridays with prior arrangement with the PA Office. To arrange a full length photo, please contact us at (405) 739-2025 during normal business hours (M-F, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).

Other Photo Types

If you require a photo not specified above, please contact us before making an appointment to verify we can support your needs. Different services have different photo requirements and although we try to assist where possible, we cannot guarantee that we have the equipment (backdrop, name board, etc.) necessary to meet the photo's requirements.

Notes to prepare for your PA photo appointment

• You do NOT have an appointment until you receive an email from "P3 Studio Project Reservation Scheduled" saying, "Your Request was been Approved" You will receive TWO emails: one when you submit your request, and the second when your request is approved or denied.
  We manually approve each appointment request. If you book an opening for the same day, please call us at 405-739-2025 to confirm we received it and can accommodate you.

• Please do NOT arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This prevents us from taking care of other customers.

• If you are not able to make your appointment, please call us at 405-739-2025 or email 72abw.pa.workflow@us.af.mil to cancel. No-shows will not be rescheduled without an email from the individual's leadership stating the justification for missing the appointment.

• Please arrived dressed and ready for your photo. We have bathrooms adjacent to the studio if you need to change. We do not have clothing items to loan.

• Passport Photo Customers: You must have civilian clothing for your photo, no military clothing allowed. We do not have clothing to loan. Please do NOT wear light-colored or white shirts as you will be photographed in front of a white background. "Floating head" photos have been rejected by the Passport Office.

Please Note: All photography is done by appointment, no walk-ins. Please do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to your appointment

Passport photos/Visa photos are available through the Tinker Public Affairs Office. We do not handle any application processing, that is performed by the 72nd Force Support Squadron's Military Personnel Flight. Passport photos are available for servicemembers and DoW employees needing an Official Passport in connection with their duties. Dependents of service members may also get Passport photos in connection with their sponsor's duties. We do not provide photos for personal (tourist) Passports. If you need more photos than the included two for visa purposes, please let us know when arriving for your photo.

Passport photos have specialized requirements:

• No military clothing allowed. Shirt must be completely civilian. Unfortunately we do not have shirts to loan.
• Clothing should be darker in color to contrast with the white photo background.
• No glasses can be worn for photo
• A neutral expression (no smiling)

Children must be able to sit unattended for photo. Infants can be seated on a parent/guardian's lap with a white blanket serving as the backdrop, or laid on the ground

Self Help Camera equipment is available at no charge to support events such as promotions/retirements, change of command ceremonies and commander's calls. Equipment should be checked out no earlier than 48 hours prior to an event and returned no later than 24 business hours after the event has concluded. Current equipment available includes:

• Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm lens (3x zoom equivalent) & SD Card
• Digital 1080p Camcorder with 20x zoom, external audio connection support & SD Card
• Tripod with smart phone adapter, for live streaming events

The Tinker Public Affairs Office is located in Bldg. 7005 on the west side of Tinker AFB. Our NEW photo studio is located on the northeast end of Bldg. 7003. Please do NOT walk into the Information Protection Office.

Directions: From the intersection of Arnold St. & S. Air Depot Blvd, travel south along S Air Depot Blvd, going around the runway. After this, you will see a white brick building, turn as if you are going there. At this point you will see signs for offices including Public Affairs, Protocol and Legal. Follow the signs, we are located southwest of the white brick building, in a metal building with a gazebo and large bush next to it. If you get lost on your way, please call us at 405-739-2025.
