| Eligible to individuals, families and groups, both military and civilian |
Volunteers select the service they want to do and must not be paid. |
Award packages may include three award features |

Details |
To qualify for the MOVSM amember's volunteer service must:
- Be to the civilian community, to include the military family community
- Be significant in nature and produce tangible results
- Reflect favorably on the Military Service and the DoD
- Be of a sustained and direct nature
