Tinker leaders, helping agencies parade through base housing

Dozens of Tinker families lined the streets of base housing May 27 for the Chalk It Up Parade.

Tinker senior leaders, members of various base helping agencies, security forces and fire personnel all participated in the parade to show appreciation for military families. Organizations participating included 72nd Air Base Wing, 552nd Air Control Wing, 507th Air Refueling Wing, Strategic Communications Wing ONE, Tinker Spouse Club, Key Spouses, Chapel, Base Housing Referral Office, 72nd Force Support Squadron, 72nd Comptroller Squadron, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Exceptional Family Member Program, Navy Ombudsman, Airman and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, Mental Health Flight, the Integrated Resilience Office, Base Housing Resident Advocate and Balfour Beatty.

The team passed out 130 family bags of incentive items, as well as 330 prepackaged bags of candy for the children, along the parade route. Masks and gloves were worn by parade participants to ensure everyone stayed safe.
