Due to inclement weather, the Tinker Installation Commander has directed a base closure, as of January 9 to include the mid-shift. On January 10, the base will reopen for normal business operations with a TWO-hour delay reporting for dayshift employees. Base officials will continue to assess weather and base road conditions throughout the day and will issue additional guidance as conditions change. Supervisors are to encourage maximum telework, if employees are telework eligible.
Tinker Main Gate, Gott Gate, and Hurskocy Gate are open for mission essential personnel.
Base personnel should continue to monitor Tinker AFB social media accounts, website, or call the Tinker Straight Talk Line at 405-734-TALK (8255) for updated status information. Personnel are reminded not to call Base Operations, the Tinker Command Post or Security Forces for weather updates.
