After the siren has gone off and the teams participating in the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosives exercise have suited up in Mission-Oriented Protective Posture 4 gear, they exit their enclosure to scour the perimeter for casualties, unexploded ordnance and contaminated areas. An M8 paper sits on a stand to determine the amount of liquid nerve or blister agents, which will help the team determine what further protective measures to take. Members from the 72nd Air Base Wing participated in the required CBRNE exercise Sept. 24-28, and also went through a personnel deployment function exercise to start the week.
