Nominees for Team Tinker military, civilian awards to be honored in April 10 ceremony Published March 18, 2010 By Jason Perry 327th Aircraft Sustainment Wing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Tinker will honor its best and brightest during a combined military and civilian awards banquet April 10 at Embassy Suites Norman Hotel and Convention Center. The 2009 Team Tinker awards banquet has been combined to include recognition for the most outstanding Airman of the year for Tinker's Military, Civilian, and the Wiley Post Civilian Leadership Award. These awards recognize the finalists who lead by example under the Air Force Core Values and by outstanding achievements in support of the War Fighter. "One Team, One Mission...Together We Achieve Excellence" is the theme for this year's banquet. All finalists for the Team Tinker Military and Civilian of the Year Awards will be recognized and one winner from each of the categories will receive a special recognition as the overall winner. The Embassy Suites Norman Hotel & Convention Center is located at 2501 Conference Dr. Norman, Oklahoma 73069. The pre-reception begins at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Military dress includes mess dress or semi-formal and civilian dress is "after five".
