After months of preparation, meetings and refinements, selection of participants for the Supervisor Development Program is now in progress.

Employee interest in the program resulted in 1,687 self-nominations. Sixty percent of those submitted an application package.

"It is great so many people have decided to apply for the program," said Aaron Wilkerson, SDP program manager, during a meeting with the organizational points of contact.

Interest in the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center initiative has garnered attention outside Tinker as well. During the Civilian Force Development Town Hall briefings presented by Air Force Materiel Command, Maggie Grace, chief of Force Development, expressed how well SDP interfaces with HQ initiatives to develop future leaders.

Currently, appointed panel members across the center are reviewing and scoring the employee written statements. When the panel review process is complete, the written statement scores will be added to the points assessed in the application package and the employees will be ranked.

The highest ranking employees will proceed to attend the Supervison Decision Class and a panel interview. Projected dates for final selection are May 3-7. For the latest information on program status, refer to the SDP CoP accessible through the Tinker homepage.
