The Operations Readiness Inspection is 35 days away and in advance of the Inspector General's visit, the 72nd Air Base Wing Plans and Programs office has a few tips for everyone to remember. This is the third in a series of articles to be published leading up to the inspection.

Dress and appearance on base:
·All military members will wear their Airmen Battle Uniforms or Battle Dress Uniforms.
·Additionally, during hours of darkness, all personnel will wear reflective belts.
·Always present a professional image in both yourself and your workspace.
·Clean up your areas (to include the building exterior and restrooms) and make them "sparkle." They should be the neatest they have been all year! Keep them clean for the entire inspection.
·During the inspection everyone should have extra crisp uniforms and there should be no "borderline" haircuts.

Phase I uniform requirements
·All tasked personnel will deploy in ABUs or BDUs, with the sleeves down.
·ABU or BDU caps, with subdued rank, will be worn.

Phase II uniform requirements
·All phase II personnel will arrive at the designated location, fully dressed and ready for field activities
·Phase II personnel will wear ABUs or BDUs, with the sleeves down in MOPP 0.
·All "A-gear" is worn with helmets, carrying C-bags.
·ABU or BDU caps, with subdued rank, will be carried. Do not wear ABU or BDU caps under helmets. Unit caps are not authorized.
·Weapons will be supplied at "Base X."
·Personal bags will be left on base.
·Note: The phase II requirements are subject to change based on the situation presented by the IG team.
