On Tuesday, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex Brig. Gen. Mark Johnson congratulated Complex Quality Office personnel for their participation in the Professional Maintenance Certification Program (PMxCP).

During the Spring Open Season, Tinker employees submitted 20 applications for PMxCP certification.  Of those certificates awarded, 15 were to employees assigned to the Quality Assurance Office. When asked about his organization's high program participation rate, Dan McCabe, director of the Quality Assurance Office, attributed the team's success to the desire to lead by example and enhance their knowledge and skills, while achieving the "Art of the Possible."

PMxCP offers eligible applicants a common framework of functional training requirements, formal and developmental education, work and supervisory experience and career broadening experience.  There are five levels of certification:  Entry level (Level 1), Journeyman and Advanced Journeyman (Levels 2 and 3) and culminating with the development of Enterprise Logisticians (Levels 4 and 5).

Any General Schedule and Federal Wage System personnel within the Air Force Materiel Command Depot Maintenance community may submit an application package during Open Season. Other civil service employees not currently working in Maintenance may be eligible to apply if they meet program certification requirements for a specific level (such as training, academic, developmental education where applicable, and minimum years of maintenance experience).

The next PMxCP Open Season application cycle starts Oct. 19 and runs through Jan. 8.

Potential applicants need to contact Barry George, the Tinker PMxCP program manager, at 739-5602 or barry.george@us.af.mil or Hannah Lovelace at 734-0407 or hannah.lovelace.1@us.af.mil to resolve program eligibility requirements or learn more about the program.
