Exchange gives back $811,326 to Team Tinker

Members of the Tinker Exchange present Tinker Air Force Base leadership with a check for $811,326 during a ceremony at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, July 22, 2024. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service invests 100% of its earnings back into military communities. On average 60% goes to installation quality-of-life programs and the remaining 40% goes into improving shopper experiences through new technology, capital improvements and added services. The drivers have to be vetted through background checks and have to have a correctly completed bill of lading. The Air Force is taking a unique approach to gun safety through a new program called Time-Based Prevention. Through the TBP program, Tinker received 1,700 gun locks that are available to any personnel on base who has a weapon in their home.
