Several five-person teams participated in a fun obstacle course where they simultaneously walked on planks across the soccer field near the Airman Leadership School, then carefully walked or kangaroo-hopped another length of field with a softball between their knees. The next stretch, they piggyback-carried their teammates, until finally, they all spun around the heel of a baseball bat 10 times and ran the final stretch where a hot dog-eating contest finished it all off. The obstacle course was one of the fun activities for participants in Sports and Resiliency Day Sept. 30. Along with being able to get credit for resiliency training by participating in several activities, teams and individuals could also compete in bowling, corn hole, crud, golf, softball, basketball, volleyball and weight training tournaments or run in the 5K.
