Transformation spotlight

Mike Bassham, a sheet metal supervisor in the 565th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron’s B-52 Production Flight, talks to his team of mechanics gathered around a script board by a B-52 in Bldg. 2121. A transformation tool that shows every worker and supervisor the production status of the aircraft to a fine detail, past scripts can help identify areas for improvements or successes. The boards easily show everyone their part of the production work and identify what still needs to be done. “If there’s not a roadmap of where we’re going, then everybody is going in different directions,” said Mr. Bassham.
