Midwest City says thanks at firestorm appreciation lunch
Tinker Fire Department members, Captain Shawn Mosshammer, Captain Bob Emholtz and Airman 1st Class Aaron Cullwell enjoy hamburgers with all the trimmings during a Firestorm Appreciation Luncheon May 7 at Joe Barnes Regional Park. Midwest City officials praised the support Tinker Air Force Base firefighters and other neighboring emergency response teams gave to the city during the April 9 wildfire that destroyed hundreds of area homes, including those of 15 Tinker employees. They also praised the tremendous outpouring of aid they received from individuals and area businesses. (Air Force photo by Ralph Monson)
