For 20 May, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s not forget that times like these can turn into positives, like improving our own wellness and that of our loved ones. A few ways to take control of your health include: take small breaks throughout the day to focus on your breathing to help reduce stress, get up and get moving, get enough sleep to stay in good health, and practice mindfulness and gratitude regularly. Visit USAFwellness.com to access the latest health information, complete a health risk assessment, set small daily goals, track daily nutrition and physical activity, liven up cooking routines with helpful recipes, and communicate with friends and co-workers to encourage healthy lifestyle choices.

This week we’ve had several re-openings. The Gerrity Fitness Center is open to Military/Dependents and Civilians Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Retirees who are non-DOD civilians are able to enter Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The library on base has also reopened. Airman Leadership School also resumes today.

For non-medical COVID-19 concerns, the Straight Talk Center is available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. It can be reached at 405-734-2567.
