2/19/2008 - TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- The Tinker Library will be closed Monday for President's Day.
Is there a book you want to read or need as a resource for a project, but the base library does not have copy? The staff can try to borrow the book from another library in state, on a different base or across the country. Stop by the library to fill out a request form to begin the process. Patrons should provide at least the author and the title of the book they need. Borrowed books generally take seven to 10 days to arrive at the Tinker Library. Patrons will be notified when the book arrives at the library.
On the shelf: The library has a wide selection of books, audiocassettes, CDs and DVDs. Patrons may checkout a total of three DVDs or VHS movies for seven days.
Ten audiovisual materials, including CDs, books on CD, audiocassettes and non-fiction VHS tapes, may be checked out for three weeks.
   New young adult books include:
"Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians" by Brandon Sanderson
   "Dragon's Egg" by Sarah Lewis
"The Ghost, the White House and me" by Judith St. George
"In the Space Left Behind" by Joan Ackermann
"The Pilgrims of Rayne" by D.J. MacHale
"The Search for the Red Dragon" by James Owen
"The Secret Agents Strike Back" by Robyn Freedman Spizman
"Sisters in Sanity" by Gayle Forman
"The Slippery Map" by N.E. Bode
"Standard Hero Behavior" by John David Anderson
"Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher
"The Time Thief" by Linda Buckley-Archer
