The Installation Commander has authorized an early dismissal for up to two hours available for dayshift personnel currently in a duty status. Weather emergency essential personnel are expected to report for work on time. Employees who are telework eligible will continue telework for the remainder of their shift.
The CDC and Youth Center will close at 2:30 p.m. Personnel are instructed to pick up their children before this time.
The installation will be closed for Swing and Grave shift employees.
Starting at 6 p.m., only Tinker Gate and Gott Gate will be open for access.
The Installation Commander will continue to monitor conditions to determine an appropriate day and time to reopen the base.
Base personnel should continue to monitor Tinker AFB social media accounts, website, or call the Tinker Straight Talk Line at 405-734-TALK (8255) for updated status information. Personnel are reminded NOT to call Base Operations, the Tinker Command Post, or Security Forces for weather updates.
The Tinker Commissary will be closing at 4:30 p.m. today. The Commissary also recommends that any customers call ahead Saturday - Monday to make sure the Commissary is open before driving in to shop. They can be reached at 572-633-6050.
