Transform an ordinary button-up shirt into a one-of-a-kind statement piece! In this hands-on, two-part workshop, you'll learn how to remove the original sleeves, create a custom sleeve pattern, and sew in bold new sleeves that are perfect for weddings, family reunions, military balls, date nights, holiday parties, and other special occasions.

This class is designed for confident beginners with basic sewing machine experience as well as intermediate sewists looking to build new skills. Your instructor will demonstrate each step and provide guidance throughout the process, but students are responsible for completing all cutting, sewing, pressing, and construction on their own garments. This is a true learning workshop—you'll leave with the knowledge and confidence to create future custom shirts yourself.

Session 1
•    Safely remove the original sleeves
•    Learn proper seam removal techniques
•    Create a reusable sleeve template from your shirt
•    Prepare your custom fabric for construction
Session 2
•    Construct your custom sleeves
•    Properly install and finish the sleeves
•    Learn techniques for achieving a professional-looking fit and finish

A third session is available, if needed, for an additional fee to help students complete their projects.

Materials Required (Provided by Student)
•    One button-up shirt for practice/project
•    2.5 yards of cotton or a fabric with a similar weight and structure to the shirt
