FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS) --

The Air Force will launch a redesign of its official website in early October. To enable required updates, officials said the service will not release new content on AF.mil, Oct. 1 – Oct. 6, while the Air Force migrates to a newly-redesigned, mobile-ready website. The modernizing of the site will allow for, among other things, less clutter and a new user experience across all platforms.

Many new features will be added to the site, including full-frame photo galleries, updated slideshows, intuitive 3D informational models, augmented reality, and revamped video and live broadcast capabilities.

The new website will launch Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 10:30 a.m. ET at http://www.af.mil. In the meantime, please check out our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, for the latest Air Force news, updates and releases.
