The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center will undergo an external surveillance and registration audit April 20-24.

The audit is to ensure OC-ALC continues to be in conformance with AS9100 and AS9110, aerospace management system standards. Auditors from QMI-SAI Global, an assessment, verification, and certification organization, will perform a Quality Management Systems check for the AS 9100/9110 Aerospace Standards.

The air logistics center was first granted an ISO 9001:2000 certificate of compliance in March 2001. The center was recertified in April 2008 to AS 9100. The week of April 20 the center will undergo a surveillance audit for AS9100 and a registration audit to AS9110, and as part of compliance regulations, is subject to surveillance audits every six months.

The team will audit a sample of processes within the 76th Maintenance Wing, 327th Aircraft Sustainment Wing, 72nd Air Base Wing, OC-ALC Engineering and Technical Management Directorate and OC-ALC Plans and Programs Directorate.

The audit will cover a wide range of topics from documentation control to functional-line audits.

"Knowing your process, how it interrelates with the Center mission and supports the warfighter is what ISO is all about," said Angela Parmer, chief of the OC-ALC Quality Office.

Auditors will also certify that leadership communicates the center quality policy:

"Consistently meet warfighter readiness requirements through responsive and clearly-defined processes that are continuously improved to achieve, excellence in all we do."

In addition the auditors may ask who the center's management authorities are. They include Mr. Robert Valdez, accountable executive manager, who ensures maintenance workload is financed; Mr. Dan McCabe, maintenance manager, who ensures maintenance is performed in accordance with Tinker, customer, and authority requirements; and Mr. Wade Wolfe, management representative, who has the authority to resolve issues concerning quality and recommend improvements in the quality management system.

Should questions arise before or during the audit contact the OC-ALC Quality Office at 739-5194 or 76th MXW Quality Office at 734-9301.
