Tinker Education Center Boasts Internationally Accredited Aviation Degree Programs
Southeastern Oklahoma State University aviation degree programs, in addition to accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, have been granted accreditation by Aviation Accreditation Board International. The Bachelor of Science: Aviation Management: Business Option and Bachelor of Science: Aviation Management: Safety option, offered in the Tinker Education Center, is included. SOSU is the only AABI accredited university in Oklahoma with a graduate program in Aviation. SOSU is the only college in the country to have accredited aviation programs offered at three locations, the main campus in Durant, Tinker AFB, and the Oklahoma City Community College John Massey Center. Southeastern first offered an aviation degree in 1966 and at that time was one of only two institutions in the country offering aviation degrees.
SOSU and the University of Oklahoma, Norman campus, are the only two Oklahoma universities that have been granted ABBI accreditation. Of approximately 200 flight schools in the country, OU and SOSU are two of only twenty-five that have been granted AABI accreditation. Both OU and SOSU are members of the Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Education Alliance which has been coordinating Aviation related graduate and undergraduate degree programs in the Tinker Education Center since 1997. To date, approximately 320 graduate degrees and 160 undergraduate degrees have been awarded to Tinker military and civilian employees who completed their degrees in the Tinker Education Center through the Aviation Alliance colleges.

Oklahoma City Post Society of American Military Engineers Seeks High School   Applicants for National Engineering & Construction Camps
At SAME Engineering and Construction Camps, high school students from across the country learn engineering solutions and skills from professional engineers while getting a taste of what it means to work for and with the military services.
Only at an SAME Engineering and Construction Camp can you design a chair with three legs and sit on it, construct a concrete beam and smash it, or build a cardboard boat and race it!
These exciting week-long camps take place during the summer months in a variety of settings--the colorful Colorado Rockies, the beautiful Southern California Coast, or the historic Mississippi Valley.
The Oklahoma City Post seeks quality applicants interested in these dynamic camps. We would like to receive applications from the Oklahoma City metro area and surrounding areas. We will consider sending qualified freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to these National Camps. The National Organization of SAME allows each Post to send one student to each camp.
