Family Readiness Program

Our Readiness NCOs provide information and assistance to military and civilian families. Our Readiness team assists families with separations due to deployments, remote tours, national emergencies/disasters and evacuations. For more information contact the A&FRC at 739-2747.

Services provided:

Pre Deployment Briefing
Informs deployers and family members of resources and services available to assist them while military and civilian members deploy.

Hearts Apart Morale Calls
An automated system that allows family members two 15 minute phone call per week. Deployers receive instruction on using this automated service during PreDeployment Briefings.

Ready and Reading
Allows parents to bring their child's favorite book and record it on DVD. Also, the A&FRC has books parents can use. This service is a great way for parent to remain involved in their child's bedtime routine.

Readiness Emergency Sleeping Tool - R.E.S.T.
Deployers send the Readiness NCOs a color picture and they impose the picture on a pillow case for FREE!!

Car Care Because We Care
Funded through AFAS this is a free oil/filter change, lubrication and vehicle safety check performed by the base service station while the member is TDY, deployed or on a remote tour.

Give Parents a Break
Funded by AFAS this helps families in dealing with stresses due to the nature of military life such as, deployments, remote tours and extended working hours. Eligible families can receive free child-care a few hours each month at the base Child Development Center

Key Spouse Program
The A&FRC ensure all commander appointed Key Spouses receive initial training. Also, the A&FRC host quarterly Key Spouse Reoccurring Training sessions.

Reintegration Briefing
This briefing is for members that are returning from a deployment of 30 days or more. This briefing informs deployers and family members of resources and services available to assist them while the family reintegrates after a deployment.

Kids Understanding Deployment Operations
Operation KUDOS is an annual event to help children understand the deployment process in a fun environment.
