Airman Nelson, with the 72nd Security Forces Squadron, joined the Air Force in September 2019. She likes to read and spend time with her husband when she’s not on duty. Her main duty is controlling the entering and exiting of all vehicles and personnel onto the installation while working at the Tinker gates. Nelson says safety and security of the base’s personnel and installation’s assets are the most important part of her job. Part of the Tinker Chapel’s COVID response is offering secure counselling virtually and manning the Latte Lounge daily. Jones says working with young people and Airmen is the best part of his job. "I've been in ministry for 31 years and this is my way of giving back to the Air Force. Having the opportunity to learn from young leaders in the Air Force and also helping to mold them is a great joy -- it's a passion of mine!
